St. Barbara’s Greek Orthodox
Church is please to present its annual GREEK FESTIVAL at East Chapel
Hill High School on May 20th thru May 22nd.
This 3 day event will feature
such culinary delights such as gyros, lamb, spanakopita (spinach and
cheese with layers of filo pastry), souvlakia (Greek shish-kebab), dolmades
(rice and ground beef wrapped in grape leaves), and much more.
Don’t forget our traditional Greek pastries such as baklava (layers
of nuts and filo pastry soaked in honey), galactobouriko (filo pastry
filled with custard), loukoumades (fried dough with honey), and the
list will go on and on.
While enjoying your meal be
entertained by our folk dancing exhibition, and continuous Greek music.
Everyone is welcome to join in. Before you know it, you’ll
be shouting, “Opa”.

Proceeds from this event will
benefit our new St. Barbara Church on 751 near Southpoint Mall, American
Red Cross and East Chapel Hill High School Scholarship Fund.
